ATLANTA (AP) a NCAA President Mark Emmert is defending his record amid issues about the way the business has researched wayward schools, as well as a report that questioned his authority in previous jobs. A 45-minute news conference was held by emmert Thursday during the Final Four that made good sometimes. In fact, he fired a shot at a reporter: "I know you're disappointed, but I'm still here." Particularly, the NCAA has come under fire for violating its policies while investigating the scandal involving a Miami booster. Emmert says the NCAA made the required changes and acknowledged its errors. Furthermore, Emmert dismissed a Today story that accuses him of shirking responsibility for issues at Connecticut, LSU and Montana State under his watch.
