Liverpool FC youths impress in Under-21 Premier League conquer Arsenal... - Liverpool Echo

A DOUBLE attack from Adam Morgan served fire Liverpool Hamilton Academical to win over Arsenal in an engaging event at Anfield. Close range goals were bagged two by the 18-year-old as the Reds defeated their London competitors 3-2 and moved around second in the Elite Group of the Under-21 Premier League dining table as a result. Victory maintains Liverpool in the quest for a play-off place with the top three sides in the standings progressing to the last phase of the competition and made amends for their Easter Monday defeat to Tottenham Hotspur. Apr 9 2013 View Morgan closed and opened the scoring for Alex Inglethorpeas area but a gifted Arsenal team twice named Liverpool in a sport on a bitterly cold night. Liverpoolas U21s had a smattering of first-team experience within its ranks and Morgan, who has three elderly shows to his name, may grab the news along with his two objectives. But the stories of Andre Wisdomas and Conor Coadyas features may also make for pleasant reading for Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers. Jordan Ibe, who was simply involved in the senior team for the sport at Southampton last month, produced the first chance of the night for the Reds as he enjoyed in the vibrant Morgan. But the striker from Halewood saw his shot blocked by Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny who rushed from his point to narrow the perspective. However when the pair linked up for an additional time it resulted in the opening goal. Jonjo Shelvey sent 17-year-old Ibe racing down the left side and from the wide-manas corner Morgan swept the ball in past Szczesny after 24 minutes. Arsenalas answer was quick and within two minutes they were level. The way in which of the equaliser will have disappointed Inglethorpe since the Reds didn't deal with a free-kick pumped into their area and from the spoils, Chuba Akpom stabbed house.
