Game Time Preview: Pamphlets @ Jets

When: Saturday, April 6, 2013 Time:A2:00 p.m. CST Where: MTS Centre, Winnipeg, Manitoba Records: Winnipeg Jets (18-19-2 a 10th in East), Philadelphia Flyers (17-17-3- 11th in East) Television/Radio: CBC, CSN-PH/TSN 1290 The Story:AIt is likely to be do-or-die time for the Winnipeg Jets this morning once they host the Philadelphia Flyers (2:00 p.m. CST, CBCas Hockey Night in Canada) as time is quickly running out in the 2013 regular season. The Jets came back home from a recreation highway journey on Friday empty-handed, putting up with losses to the New York Rangers (4-2), New York Islanders (5-2) and Montreal Canadiens (4-1), and in the process, dropping from 3rd place in the Eastern Conference to 10th place in the amount of minutes. The Jets (38 points) are actually chasing the Washington Capitals (38 points) for the Southeast Division cause and the location in the East but with only nine games remaining to be performed, Washington has more legislation wins and two games at hand. Winnipeg will face a Philadelphia group that appears to be peaking at only the proper time. The Flyers have won four games in a line (lately a 5-3 win on Thursday evening over the Toronto Maple Leafs) and have climbed up to 11th place in the East after being in 14th place only one week ago (Philadelphia currently trails the Ny Rangers by three factors for the last playoff place). For the Winnipeg Jets today: If they donat score more goals than they have been lately, they probably wonat win a very important factor is going to be certain. This might seem obvious for most baseball groups, however it is very true for this group. The Jets have been outscored 20-6 in their last five games (all losses) and have didn't report more than two goals in virtually any of these games. Former 30-goal scorer Evander Kane hasn't scored a in his last five games and has just one goal in his last 9 games. The Jets need Kane, in addition to leading scorers Andrew Ladd and Blake Wheeler, as they are not really receiving enough secondary offence from other participants in order to win games on an everyday basis to step up their games offensively- and soon-. Coach Claude Noel reported on Friday that the Dustin Byfuglien-on-forward research has ended after one and a half games. Byfuglien moved up to play forward throughout Tuesdayas 5-2 damage to the New York Islanders when Nikolai Antropov transpired having an injury and continued to play as a forward contrary to the Canadiens on Thursday. Byfuglien struggled as a forward and spent element of Thursdayas game on the seat. With Byfuglien back on defense, assume either Kyle Wellwood or James Wright to have back to the line-up this day versus the Flyers. Wellwood was a wholesome scratch for the Jets on Thursday while James Wright has been activated off the Injured Reserve. Wright hasn't played since March 21st when he left the overall game from the Washington Capitals with an chest muscles damage. Grant Clitsome or Paul Postma is going to be the odd man out on safety. This could be the third of three meetings between your Jets and Flyers this season with Philadelphia keeping the season series lead with two wins. The Jets were defeated by philadelphia 3-2 straight back on February 12th in Winnipeg and 5-3 in Philadelphia on February 23rd. Ondrej PavelecAis likely to start in net for the Jets tonight.
