Syracuse Basketball: 5 Consequences List Changes Will Have on Orange in 2014

Last year's team had 10 grant players, but with Mike Gbinije redshirting, just seven offered to play. The truth is that Baye Moussa Keita was the only real reserve who got constant playing time. Jerami Grant and Trevor Cooney got irregular minutes, and DaJuan Coleman barely played after his surgery. This year's team may have 12 scholarship people, with all open to play. Jim Boeheim has broadly speaking settled on 2 or 3 significant time is got by players who off the counter. Year after year, it appears the Orange are heavy, and the venerable Boeheim manages to reduce his subs to 2 or 3. May he achieve this again in 2013-14? It would appear that Keita and Grant can get reserve minutes at the start. Tyler Roberson will come in with an impressive resume and should press for playing time. Mike Gbinije has spent annually training with the staff and should also get some minutes, either at tiny forward or shooting guard. I am uncertain about the minutes for B.J. Johnson and Chinonso Obokoh. I would believe their playing time depends on their work on safety and off the glass. Tyler Ennis and Trevor Cooney ought to be the beginning backcourt. Gbinije will get some time there with the question appearing to be simply how much time freshman Ron Patterson will get. Follow me on Twitter @sprtsramblngman
