Seems like Prisco needs to head back to promoter's school. You won't ever, ever bash one from your fighters, even if that mma fighter is on his way right out of the organization. Likewise, you never choose a winner of a struggle, even if it ultimately ends up being scrapped.
Because—and you recognize this rings true—you can not say never in mixed fighting. Prisco may believe that Newell should never fight for him all over again, but there may come on a daily basis when Prisco is anxious for someone with half some name value to struggle for his organization.
