Leverkusen may be 4 point behind as Dortmund have a winnable game against Monchengladbach, but either way a win against the bottom club is the minimum that's required, with the club likely looking to pad their goal difference here too. Leverkusen have won just 4 of 11 away games, losing 4, so this gives them a chance to improve their road record. What I am encouraged by is their offence.
Bayer Leverkusen have scored 43 goals this season, making them the 3rd highest scorers in the league. In contrast, Furth have scored just 13, least in the league, and shipped 36. Their 11 home games have seen them beaten 8 times, with just 3 draws and no wins.
The reverse fixture was a 2-0 home win for Bayer Leverkusen, and I'm expecting to score at least that number of goals here again. Their last Bundesliga game was a 2-1 home win against Augsburg but either side of that they lost home and away to Benfica to crash out of the Europa League, which means we get a capable and angry team looking to take out their temper on a weaker side. Perfect spot.
