City to open talks with Yaya Toure? - Manchester City

Toure will have two years left on his current contract in the summer and the Daily Star claims the Blues are more than keen to secure his services longer term.

"No formal discussions have been planned with Toure, who has just returned to the Premier League after almost a month away on African Nations Cup duty," writes Steve Millar.

"Boss Roberto Mancini would love to harness Toure's power and skills for the next five years and is in no doubt of the Ivory Coast star's value to the club."

"The former Chelsea and Swansea wide man has failed to break through at City after a £6million move from the Welsh club last summer," reports Paul Hetherington.

"Sinclair, 23, will be available this summer when Everton – who were interested in a loan deal in the January transfer window – will decide whether to make a firm bid.

Finally, ahead of today's Premier League clash, Chelsea boss Rafa Benitez has been speaking about his desire to finish above defending champions City.

"Chelsea will fight to finish as high as they can in the Barclays Premier League," reports Mark Bryan's of the Daily Mail.

"The Blues travel to second-placed Manchester City knowing a win will close the gap on the reigning champions to a single point.

Benitez said: "We'll try to finish second if we can, you never know - this is a massive game, so let's see where we are at the end. Until the last week, we may be fighting each other."
